On Saturday January 31, The National Association of Taxi
Operators (NATO) will be holding its first annual “Taxi Man Link Up” at the St. Ann’s Bay Oval. The event is set to begin at 10:00am and is expected to be a Cultural, Educational and Business Expo. With about 15,000 members in the association the St. Ann’s Bay Oval can anticipate an exciting and fun filled day that will include music by popular disco, an outside broadcast by HOT 102FM, Food Court along with games and activities for the entire family. Cool Card, Cool Oasis and Cool Signs are proud sponsors of this up coming event. All three corporations have received overwhelming support form Taxi Operators island wide and found it only fitting that they should support “Taxi Man Link Up 2004.”
NATO itself is a new group formed by Taxi operators and owners who saw the need to create more organizations in the industry and “”Taxi Man Link Up 2004” is a unified effort to display and highlight some of its objectives.
According to NATO’s Marketing Consultant Mr. Basil Reece, “Taxi Man Link Up is considered a major event which seeks to bring together all Taxi operators and owners into business
and local interaction as well as creating an opportunity to educate people about the Taxi industry”.
